Robots to help passengers at Coimbatore Airport

After Bangalore, for the first time in Tamilnadu two AI-Driven Robots are launched to serve and assist passengers at Coimbatore Airport. The Robots are now in the trial stage for a period of six months. Coimbatore Airport has partnered with “Temi”, the multinational robotic company. Currently, they planned and introduced two robots that will be functional each at the arrival and departure areas of the airport.

The Robots are designed and programmed in such a way that it greets passengers coming to and fro. It assists them in different spots within the airport. This autonomous robot is built with software specific. The Robot will reach out to passengers, greet them and provide them with the required assistance.

It is so fascinating to hear that this robot has features that literally save passengers waiting time at the airport. If passengers are willing to connect with airport staff, the robots connect via video call with the desired staff. This is a useful feature which helps staff to address the queries on-screen as well as benefits passengers.

Before Coimbatore, Bangalore Airport introduced 10 Ai-Driven Robots to guide and enhance passengers’ experience at Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore (BLR Airport). They have partnered with Artiligent Solutions Pvt.Ltd, the company which is specialized in AI and Robotics including Software services.

The services offered by the robot include flight status information, assisting commuters in finding their boarding gate, shopping areas, baggage claim area, drinking water facilities and washroom, among others.
