First Omicron Cases Identified in India

Two cases of Omicron has been identified in India at Karnataka. Union Health Ministry reported today(02/12/2021, Thur) The severity of the Omicron Variant of Covid 19 has not been identified with much severe symptoms so far. WHO has said that its emerging evidence is being studied. They have also reported that one case is of a male aged 46 and the other is also of a male aged 66.

WHO also reported that Omicron has been found in 23 countries across the world.

WHO has categorized this variant of covid-19 as a “variant of concern “ and said early evidence suggests it has a higher re-infection risk.

Do not panic about Omicron detection but awareness is absolutely essential.
